Our program provides tackle football for children in the second through the sixth grade. Teams are divided into four age groups based on grade – third (includes second), fourth, fifth, and sixth grade. The program will provide your child’s helmet, shoulder pads, pants with integrated pads, game jersey, and game socks. All equipment, jersey, and pants must be returned at the end of the season.
Season Dates – Aug 1st - November 3rd
Practice is four nights a week with most games on Saturdays.
Tackle football requires a parent/guardian commitment to have your child where they need to be on time for every practice and game.
Practice is critical for participation in tackle football for safety reasons. All eleven children on the field must be able to do their job (teamwork) to protect their own safety and the safety of their teammates. Your child needs to attend practice every night and missing practice will impact playing time during the game. We understand that perfect attendance may not be possible, and we ask that you contact the head coach before your child miss practice. We will do our best to schedule our activities around school activities like Back-to-School night.
PARENT/ GUARDIAN PERMISSION FOR ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION WARNING:
Although participation in supervised recreational athletics may be one of the least hazardous activities in which any child will engage in, BY ITS NATURE, PARTICIPATION INCLUDES RISK OF INJURY WHICH MAY RANGE IN SEVERITY FROM MINOR TO LONG-TERM CATASTROPHIC, OR EVEN DEATH. Although serious injuries are not common in supervised recreational activities, it is impossible to eliminate this risk.
Participants can help and have the responsibility to reduce the chance or injury. PLAYER MUST OBEY ALL RULES, REPORT ALL PHSYICAL PROBLEMS TO THEIR COACH, FOLLOW A PROPER CONDITIONING PROGRAM, AND INSPECT THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT DAILY.
By signing this permission form, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this warning and the participant’s responsibilities.
PARENT/GUARDIAN OR PARTICIPANTS WHO DO NOT WISH TO ACCEPT THE RISK AND RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIBED IN THIS WARNING SHOULD NOT SIGN THIS FORM OR PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES OF THE BLUEDEVIL YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING CLUB.
LIABILITY WAIVER I, the parent or guardian, or my child, will not hold BLUEDEVIL YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING program or any officer or coach of this club liable for any expenses that are incurred as a result of my child participating in any activities of the fore mentioned club.
ATHLETIC INSURANCE WAIVER Furthermore, I understand that the BLUEDEVIL YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING CLUBE DOES NOT provide primary insurance for the children participating in the activities of the club. I understand that I, the parent or guardian, will provide individual insurance for my child or I will assume the responsibility for payment of expenses incurred in the event of injury.
BY SIGNING THIS FORM, I ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THE LIABLITY AND ATHLETIC INSURANCE WAVIER AS STATED ABOVE AND THAT I ACCEPT ALL FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY SHOULD ANY EXPENSES BE INCURRED. Electronic consent was given during the online registration process.
